EXECUTIVE ORDER (NO. EO/003/2008)

RE: PROPOSAL FOR CHANGE OF USE OF AGRICULTURAL LAND

Preamble
There was an agreed policy not to convert agricultural land to residential premises.

Order
In view of the above, and by the authority invested in me as Governor under and by virtue of the 1999 Constitution, I hereby reaffirm that:
1) No request to convert agricultural land to residential use, should be entertained until further order signed under my hand;
2) all applications for Change of use of Agricultural Land be referred to my office; and
3) The restriction on conversion of agricultural land to residential premises remains in force and intact.

This order is intended only to improve the internal management of the State Government and is not intended to, and does not create any rights or benefits, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by a party against Lagos State, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employers, or agents, or any other person.
