Fashola Mourns Passage Of AC Chieftain, Chief James Adedeji
Nov 5, 2008 - Lagos State Governor, Mr Babatunde Fashola (SAN) on Wednesday expressed his heartfelt condolence on the passage of a leader of the Action Congress in Eti- Osa Local Government, Chief James Adedeji Adebajo Sanwo (JP) on 13th October, 2008 at the ripe age of 74.
The Governor in his condolence letter to the widow, Governor Fashola described late Chief Adedeji as a pillar of the Action Congress and a dependable leader adding that his death is a big loss to the AC not only in the State but the nation as a whole.
The Governor also said “Late Chief Sanwo was doggedly committed to the growth of the party in particular and the State in general during his lifetime”.
Governor Fashola added that he would personally miss the wise counsel of Chief Sanwo reiterating that indeed, democracy can only flourish in our land with steadfast party men like the departed chieftain.
While describing him as a progressive in the true sense of the word, the Governor said Chief Sanwo remains a shining example of unwavering commitment to party ideals and aspirations which transcend the craving for personal gains.
He prayed to God to comfort the wife and loved ones left behind by the late political leader.
